Overview
This course introduces learners to the world of IT management and the foundations of Business Analysis. It is designed as a practical, hand on course to enable learners to enter the job market immediately - unlike most other Business Analysis courses that solely focus on theory and concepts. The course will help demystify the role of the Business Analyst (BA), and outlines the knowledge and skills required to build a successful BA career. This includes an in-depth review of the business analysis process, from eliciting requirements and identifying stakeholders to testing, validation, and release. One of the main reasons for failed IT projects is a lack of clear understanding of stakeholder requirements and needs. BA’s prevent project failure by identifying and validating these requirements early on, ensuring all stakeholders agree and approve, and then communicating them to technology team(s) for development, testing and release. Business analysis doesn’t stop here; BA’s also recommend solutions and facilitate their execution and are key members of any IT product team.

6 Week Course- Week 1: Intro to IT, role of business analyst & fundamentals of the role
- Week 2: Key stakeholders, SDLC, development frameworks, and types of projects
- Week 3: Requirement gathering techniques, documentation, tools, and workflow management
- Week 4: Application of knowledge learned, practice projects, and the read out
- Week 5: Soft skills – likeability, being non opinionated, and role-playing assignment
- Week 6: Market readiness, resume & interview prep, job mindset, 1st day on the job instructions.
